Not long after she joined the party, she was named Chief Coordinator of the Campaign and Planning Committee for the Telangana Assembly polls on November 30 by Congress national secretary KC Venugopal.

She is rejoining the Congress at a time when the party is running a vigorous campaign for the November 30, 2023, Telangana poll.
When Vijayshanti began her political career with the BJP in 1997, she was already well-known in South Indian cinema. In the midst of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi’s (TRS) campaign for aTake Telangana apart. 2009 saw her elected to the Lok Sabha.

In 2014, shortly before Andhra Pradesh was divided into two states and Telangana was created, she later joined the Congress party.
Numerous Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam films feature Vijayashanti. For her role as a female police officer in Kartavyam, she was awarded the National Film Award for Best Actress.
She also had roles in the movies “Eeshwar,” “Apradhi,” and “Gundagardi” starring Bollywood’s He-Man, Dharmendra, opposite Anil Kapoor.
Telangana will hold assembly elections on November 30. On December 3, the Telangana Assembly’s votes, along with those of four other states with upcoming elections, will be counted.
Previously known as Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) won 88 of the previous Assembly elections in 2018.the 119 seats, controlling 47.4% of the vote share overall. The Congress, with only 19 seats, finished far behind.
